McCall, Idaho is definitely a most beautiful town. It sits right on a southern beach of Payette Lake. If one were to walk out the back door of the lakefront stores one's feet would get wet.

The town is about 2800 souls strong but grows to well over 10,000 during the high seasons of summer and winter. The metropolis of Boise is just two hours down the hill and a lot of its residents like to take advantage of the amenities here. This makes for happy ...

Then we went up to McCall and had dinner with Biff and Pat at their cabin. It was fun to finally see the cabin they've been telling us about for a couple of years.

... took us for a tour around the Palette National Park where they had a devastating fire in 1994 with a huge majority of the park lost. This fire also threatened their place and was only metres from it. Jays brother was here at the time and he escaped on his boat with just some family pictures. He watched the fire from the middle of the lake. Fortunately the fire was contained across the road from the condo complex. The regeneration of trees is impressive and while ...
