... two gifts inside, a clay bird cum bowl and another cup! This meant so much, such generosity. I gave my two gorgeous little cleaner girls these when I left the hotel! As we passed an orphanage I shouted "stop" in Hiro's now very deaf left ear, and met the people there. This particular organisation is wonderful, called SOS Childrens' Villages Indonesia. Sam tried haggling with the owner but he refused to budge, saying he would prefer the room was empty than to lower the price. It wasn't like the place was full (or nice). Actually I think we would have been the only ones staying so you'd think something would be better than nothing. Apparently not. So Sam went in search of ...

Diving in Labuan Bajo

People come from around the world to dive in Komodo National Park. I know, I know; when most people think of Komodo they think of Dragons. And its true, the dragons are found on Islands in Komodo national park and are definitely one of the biggest tourist draws. But, in dive circles, Komodo has its own fame.

I first heard about the diving in Komodo during my backpacking trip in South East Asia in 2011. From ...
