The End of Driving
... high cost of living here. The city streets were dotted with high-priced outdoor clothing gear stores, clearly demonstrating New Zealander’s zest for the outdoor lifestyle.
Well, we’re about to disembark and jump on a bus to Blenheim, New Zealand’s wine country. We’re looking forward to tasting some native wine and spending a few days in mellow Blenheim. Here’s to living.

The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey
... 9.30 Uhr am roten Teppich ausgeharrt. Und wir waren schon spaet dran... Die Zeit ging dank super Gesellschaft und noch besserem Wetter sehr schnell um und ab 15 Uhr war dann auch Programm auf dem Teppich. Zuerst ein paar Kleinkuenstler und ab ca. 16 Uhr dann die Schauspieler, Produzenten, Mitwirkenden und natuerlich Peter Jackson (Regie)!

Aufstehen (ach was) frühstück verabschieden und dann bin ich mit dem Zug nach Wellington gefahren. Na mijn "city tour" heb ik bij Kane & Tatjana (ik ken ze uit NL) gelogeerd. Dit was heel gezellig en leuk om ze weer te zien en bij te kletsen. In Christchurch zijn nog steeds dagelijks (kleine) aardbevinkjes te voelen. En ook toen ik er was, heb ik een aardbevinkje gevoeld. Heel onwerkelijk en het idee dat er zovaak een aardbeving is, dat de bevolking er niet eens meer van opkijkt ...
Planned and Surprise Fun
... a bit, but after getting really frustrated by my constantly foggy mask, I gave my paintballs to one of the girls, so she could play for longer. In the little I played though, I did get shot a couple of times, and I had a few teeny bruises to show for it, so I can say I’ve been paintballing.
