Heat and dust
8 heures de route et que 250 kms pour rejoindre Orchha, un village de 8000 habitants, au bord de la rivière Betwa. Village de campagne paisible , en partie detruit. La fete de la lumiere -Diwali- bat son plein: chants, musique, marche, lessive et bain dans la rivière. Les hommes se lavent, les femmes pas; dans les rivieres en tout cas. Then on to Orchha by a supposedly express train which took ages, we arrived at Orchha to be faced with persistent and annoying touts to get our custom. ... are quite magnificent Hindu temples which have carvings of naughty things on the side of them. The temples where constructed around 1100 years ago around the same time as Angkor Wat. Today we visited an old 16th century palace which made a bit of a change from temples and in particular offered some awesome views of the landscape and some cheesy photo opportunities.
