... an impromptu Mozambican beach photoshoot and attempting to discern which couples strolling on the beach were having a fight. While partying with the volunteers, I had the misfortunate of being abused by a drunk Aussie volunteer. I was being the responsible 29 yr old walking her home with other volunteers. The drunk Aussie leapt on my back for a piggie back ride like a leopard falling out of tree on a deer. She scratched me like a cat, dragged me to the ground, ...

... gauge malfunctioned and told me I had 80bar of air left when really I had 0. The feeling of sucking in your regulator and getting no air is every divers worst nightmare. I got air from my buddy ASAP! - aliwal shoal, south Africa. I've written about this already, I've never felt more helpless in my life. It developed a very healthy respect for Mother Nature I've generally enjoyed the company of divers I've met around the world. It's probably not surprising ...

We are on Santiago the main island of the Cape Verde (pronounced Cape Verd) archipelago, an ex Portuguese colony 300 miles off the Coast of West Africa. Our ship is docked in in Praia, the capital of the country. The people look very African but there is something European about the tourism. Certainly its a lot different from mainland Africa. On this island all the inhabitants look ...

... of good places to stay. Ended up here with a couple of guys who'd also been in the hostel in Maputo.

To be honest there really isn't a lot to write here. I intended to stay just a night or two before heading further north, but in the end stayed four days and spent the days sat by the pool or on the beach. Very lazy, but looking back this is the first time I've stayed in the same place for more than two nights in over a month, so its good to relax for a few days.
