Two of the Big Five
This afternoon Paul had to pick-up a staff member from the furthest gate, so naturally as I had finished working I went along for a drive. A few other staff also came with us for the drive- great to see them interested in the animals and the bush.
At first we didn't see much until we came across four elephants, two on the road and the other two by the road. The two on the road were slowly walking towards us and swaying their trunks. With ...
Bird at the Hide
This afternoon after work I went to sit in the hide- a great place for some peace and quiet. There was not much happening at all, just a few birds here and there. On the evening game drive the second day we finally saw the beautiful lions. They had recently had their ...
Seeing Some Animals
This afternoon Paul had to do a gate pick-up from one of the nearby gates. So I went for a drive with him. It is always nice to get out of the lodge when I have the chance. On the way back from the gate we saw a giraffe. We watched it for a little while as it ate leaves with its very long tongue. Paul tried to encourage staff to get out and have their photo taken with it, but no-one including ...
