... or carry home with me. We walked around every stall and then had to leave because it was getting too much for us. We decided we'd try again the next day after thinking more about what we wanted and how much we were willing to spend. Some people got some great stuff though. We had an early night as nothing was happening.

The following day was spent going to and from the stalls outside the campsite. I chose some items that I wanted and then the ...

Was a lovely birthday!
Right, well I think that is all I have to say! Which means the end of my blog! Should probably say something deep and cheesy here about how much Africa has changed me...I know its a cliche but its just been the most amazing four months and I have had the best time ever! Lilongwe, Zambézia, Mozambique jennynewbold... like David Jones and Coles express love child and I reckon that if you are on holidays here and cooking your own meals this is where to go for the meat, not the one sold on the side of the road and covered with flies. You can even find Oreos, marmite and not vegemite unfortunately, as well as all little treats necessary to go by. I think that without this shop living here would ...
Lilongwe, Malawi fbauchetHello everyone! Sorry I've neglected this blog a bit recently! Since I last wrote to you all we have: finished teaching, had a visa fiasco, been on holiday and started working in an orphanage!
Teaching finished well. Our last school wasn't our best for various reasons but it was still enjoyable. We're glad it's all over now! It's been great fun and really rewarding, a huge highlight of our trip, but it did drag on a bit at the end. Amazingly we calculated we've taught ...
Lilongwe, Malawi emmalj89I can't remember where im picking this blog up from.

Anyway we woke up at 3AM on Tuesday morning to catch the 5AM Bus to Chipata (East Zambia. We were keen to leave Zambia as its the least favorite of all the African countries we have been to. Livingstone is really good but there is nothing to do anywhere else and Lusaka is a bit dodgy and boring.
We arrived at the Bus station and found our coach. We had to get on board with our bags as the ...
Lilongwe, Malawi crisp21... the porter carried our big bag which had all our food in and we all had our own reasonably heavy bags. It's amazing what a group of girls cart up a mountain! Teddy bears and all... The ascent was really steep, it often consisted of constant scrambling upwards which just got exhausting. There were quite a few tears on the way up! Mostly from me... For some reason I found it particularly hard, luckily the porter was very friendly and helpful so gave me a hand when I needed it. To ...
Lilongwe, Malawi emmalj89... very very nervous about finishign teaching though...no nothing has been planned for next week yet! We are getting a lot better about being patient about everything being done sooooo slooowwwwly here, but we are getting a bit frustrated now! Amon said we will know tomorrow what the programme is going to be, so just SO hope we will! Hopefully we will be doing this thing helping out at a teacher training college that one of our friends is the principle of...we went to visit it on ...
Lilongwe, Malawi jennynewbold... never realised any form of shopping could be a chore but it really is! Entertasined ourselves last week by splitting the shopping list and having a mad trolley race to see who could finisgh first...but from the mild chaos we caused I dont think they will look kindly on us doint that again this week!
It was our two month anniversary on Sunday! VERY scary to think that we are over half way therough now! So weird thinking about it...ha;lf of you is just ...
Lilongwe, Malawi jennynewbold... in Lilongwe. I thought, what
the heck and went with them, even though clubbing is not really a thing
I am looking for on a holiday like this.

As I had expected, the nightclub was pretty shifty and the music sucked,
but it was really amusing to see what was going on. Here I saw a type
of Malawian women I had never seen in the streets. Lots of make-up, long <br ...
