To Harlingen as on the Dutch coast and close to Afsluitdijk where we planned to cross the following day. Even though a busy fishing village and ferry terminal, it still retained its old world charm and character. An early morning start for me to get to Roelof and Janny's place in Gorredijk. Then we were off to Urk, a fishing village which was once an island. The weather was great to sit outside and enjoy coffee and lunch and a stroll around the village.
We returned to Gorredijk and then rode bicycles through the woods and countryside to find a lovely quiet place to enjoy afternoon tea, in the sunshine.
