The girls were all up early and packed ready for their train trip home. A couple of the gypsy buses wouldn't pick us up because of their suitcases but eventually one came and the driver was very nice and helped us get the cases on.

We got to 42nd street and then had to walk the 8 blocks to 34th street to the Amtrak station. We had to wait a little while until they posted which gate they were leaving from.

Saturday I took my book and a coffee down to Central Park and found a nice shady spot to relax and take it all in. I laid there for hours, reading and people watching. There were shops everywhere as well as a balcony at each end and a dining area below ground. After wondering around taking it all in we headed downstairs for a bite to eat. It was a boiling hot day- typical as we were bound to leave- so all ...

... would participate in any shopping while I was away (especially considering the lack of space in my pack) I have definitely gone against my word! So much so I am having to pack some things up and ship them home because my pack won't close..!!

On our 2nd day in beautiful NYC we headed out to checked off a few more items on our do it list - the Library, Grand Central, Bryant Park, Magnolia Bakery (Sex and the City), the LOVE sign and a snipit of ...
