A food tour of Greenwich Village

A travel blog entry by barryc1

We walked quite a lot today, starting off with a 3 1/2 km stroll from mid-town down to Greenwich Village for our Greenwich Village food tour. We met up with our group at 11:30, our guide, Kurt, introduced himself, he also introduced all of the group members to each other. Particularly when the annual Barney's Warehouse Sale was on! With Ali leading the way, we elbowed our way into the sale and picked out a few winning purchases. Ben didn't play his best game ever yet he returned all smiles having had an excellent day with Wayne ...

... grandchildren were there too. We took our bags to our rooms, got into our swim suits and headed out to their garden and swimming pool. They made us lunch which was amazing food. Giant shrimps, cherrys, freshly made mozarella, more cheese and crisps. We spent the rest of the afternoon just chilling by the pool as we were exhausted. Then in the evening they got us a Chinese takeaway and we watched the closing ...
