... mit einem grandiosen Ausblick.

Bis zum Dinner bleiben wir am Pool - mittlerweile ist es wolkenlos und sehr warm.


Ausser uns ist noch ein Paar aus Schweden und ein zweites (mänliches) aus Belgien anwesend.


Serviert wird um 19.00. Während Huber sich für das Abendessen herrichtet erkunde ich die Lodge - komme so mit Jacko (er wird uns heute Abend das Dinner servieren und Crissie (sie wird das Dinner zubereiten)

... won't be easy to get dry again afterwards! Might make tea instead.

Had to dig the car out on the way back from lunch. Ended up walking back to camp to collect a shovel before going back to dig out the car. Quite a fun use of several hours. Me ans Stine had a mud and then a poo fight. She headshotted me twice with poo which hurt a bit as it's so dry!

Flip flop success

... around the bathroom several times due to the wind or b) turns into a mushy pulp.

Had a nice ride on Beauty in the afternoon (gradually beginning to have faith in her again) and found another porcupine quill. Tried out my flip flops today and they worked pretty well. Am now fairly immune to thunderstorms due to the amount we've had over the last few days (mostly at 3am - they're pretty punctual). This one has broken the trend and arrived early.

This was a strange stopover, a lovely resort on the edge of a lake, rolling lawns but probably needed a little tlc, we felt that it could have done with some management presence and a bit of enthusiasm. Not to far away we went to the monument and graves of Fort Edward itself. This was where the BVC carried out their patrols from at different times. Located on a ridge line the small cemetery consists of just four graves. The 4 original grave markers from the A-B War once marked the graves of 4 British troops that were buried in Charles family ...
