The drums of Africa beat in my heart

... brought pens, notepads and pop-up books) presented them to the head of the school where the gifts will be used to reward children, rather than handed out in response to children who beg. One small child tapped my water bottle and asked for it. I was surprised, briefly considered saying "no" because we were told not to reinforce begging children, but who can say “no” to a child who wants water? It’s not like I was handing out candy ...

Relax

... the chance to visit a typical Samburu village, but we must pay 10 € each, so we decide to go straight to game drive. 3 hours going around the reserve and almost no animals, only some giraffes searching desperately for some water on the dry river bed, it's a pity. A really relaxing day.
A shower before supper, some plays of cards and go to bed. The lodge has almost no guests apart from us, so all the staff comes and talk to us, really nice.

What a trip??

... br>From then on it was just fun, party, frolic etc. Our best friend got married and we too had a blast.

Nairobi is very beautiful. However one has to be careful not to venture alone without a local to tag along especially in the night. The climate was perfect. It was pleasant all along. We did not get time for the safari. But we atleast made it to the local zoo ;-))
