... The castle was built by Charles the 5th. We took the Metro to get here, the first day that we bought individual tickets instead of having an all day pass. Unfortunately the ticket wouldnt let us out of the Metro. A kind lady was nice enough to give us her pass so that we could exit. I was starting to panic, so this was helpful.

... in French. I was amazed at how quickly my brain had shifted into language immersion mode. I wanted nothing more than to speak and write only in French again. I listened to everything everyone was saying, and tried to remember the little sayings and idioms I had adopted three years ago.

Sadly, our trip will soon be over. I am planning to write one final blog entry from Toronto, once we've had a chance to unpack and catch our breath.
