... 1 night in Noyers, 2 hours drive then we have 3 nights in Reims (Champagne area). It was pretty good but the rain meant day 1's drive was more like 5 hours....but the hotel in La Mure was fab. Only 2 or 3 stars (depending what you read) but good internet, comfy bed and sensational shower. ... simultaneously, "Well, that was boring." Apparently we have learned a little bit since the last time. So we decided to make the trek to the blue side. Unlike the other two resorts, this one does not have a bus that goes between the slopes, but it is small enough that the lift, slope, lift path works fine. ... about the introduction of something that I had never seen before and therefore had to learn how to use; the tire-fesse.

The 'butt puller,' as the French like to call it, is type of ski lift in which instead of sitting on a seat and enjoying the view while coasting to the top, one has to stick a pole between one's legs and hold on for dear life while being pulled up the side of a mountain!
