Breathing under water

A travel blog entry by candiceanthony on May 23, 2015

... could have conversations under water without talking. Anthony kept making me laugh and then water would get in my mask and it sucked, so I would actually get annoyed with him haha. He is a stinker. After our skills I was FREZZING! It was the first time that I have seen utila overcast and chilly. If I was out of the water it would have been great, but in the water was too cold! Luckily I found out that the other dorm rooms have hot showers. I was happy to hear ...

... and abuse of procedure, as it is obvious that there is no real case against Chabelo but he is the perceived "leader" of the campesinos in the village of Guadalupe Carney. Our visit lasted a bit more than and hour and then we began our trip back to El Progreso. It was a lot of driving for a short visit but it was meaningful to Chabelo to reinforce for him that he is not alone. Alright that's a terrible blog title but after the underwhelming night spent in La Ceibe, arriving on the smaller Bay island of Utila was a welcome relief. It's main claim to fame is diving, there are multiple reefs nearby and for a few months of the year you are practically guaranteed to see whale sharks every time you head out into the water. I organised a few dives for the next morning and we watched the sun set over the lagoon and then munched on lobster and conch soup. I swear ...

Honduras - Utila

... if I didnīt dive, it was raining a lot and I had to pay for an extra mask, we had a great time in Utila. We met a lot of nice people; the diving was at a very good price as well as accommodation and drinks. The food wasnīt so cheap but you canīt have it all. I think that for being a diving destination itīs not the best one but I would say that besides Galapagos there is not a great diving in the Americas, but the vibe of the island or maybe the people that we met there made it a very nice place for ...
