    Left North Bay and stopped to tour the home of the Dionne Quints house and the young man who gave us the tour was really good. It is an amazing story but sad also. The tour made up for the debacle of yesteryear...

    ... a bakery in Bancroft for some sweet treats; Pecan Butter Tarts, and also the Kawartha Dairy & Ice Creamery for a delicious ice cream. We arrived at Sylvia and Rob's cottage mid afternoon. The drive up the road to their cottage was covered in snow, as well as all through the surrounding forest. Just beautiful.     ... west towards Ontario. We're off to Algonquin National Park tomorrow and we're staying in a tiny town called Maynooth tonight. It's reasonably close to the park and the hostel is cheap as chips.

    This weekend was all about a cottage on a lake, family time with someone else's family and LOTS of great food! Marj, David's mum, had invited me to spend the weekend at the family cottage in Bancroft, about a 3 hour drive north west of Ottawa.
