... 8211; 50mph gusts they’re saying. This RV is really rocking and rolling in this wind!!


I think tomorrow will only be in the 60’s, but I’m hoping not windy or rainy. We’re going on a boat tour/hike on St. Mary Lake. We’ll see!

... blue we couldn't help but continually stop and comment on the clear crisp water flowing over the red and brown stones clearly visible at the bottom. The end of the trail, however, was our unanimous favorite part if the day as we came upon Virginia Falls, falling a few hundred feet off the side if the mountain and spraying icy water at us as we stood 30 feet away. ... skies were wild looking and I was reminded of one of my favorite duets- John Denver and Emmylou Harris singing "Wild Montana Skies"- a beautiful song and so appropriate! Again, we used the river's waters to wash our clothes and we hung them in the wind (very securely) and they were dry in no time. This was another sweet spot that we thoroughly enjoyed and left out the next morning feeling enriched once again.

... 100 miles. The landscape was wide open rolling plains and the cross winds across the road were so strong. We loved it when the rolling hills were near the road to give us a little break from the wind. ... and to see the beautiful lake, then headed on toward West Glacier. At Avalanche Creek campground, we stopped and walked the Trail of the Cedars, a beautiful, peaceful walk through cedars and other types of large trees. It was very quiet, peaceful and lush. We walked most of the trail on a wooden deck.
