... The ride back was equally beautiful, but unfortunately we did not see any wildlife.

On the drive back we stopped for a couple photo opportunities but mostly just enjoyed the scenery.

We picked up the dogs who had been outside playing so were quite tired. The staff told us they had had a great day playing and running around. Even maple had been more social then normal.

... over to the Iceberg Lake trailhead and had one of the best day hikes ever. The trail was very good quality and we crossed a waterfall on the way to the lake. ... lake remained mostly hidden, still mostly frozen over. But the real prize at the end of the trail were several mountain goats including at least two or three baby kids. They moved around a lot among the tourists stopping frequently for poses. After about 10min, both girls were imitating the goats. ... farm land---wheat and cattle. Little did we know that our day was about to become very stressful. We noticed the wind beginning to blow and soon the wind became very strong----steady winds of 40 mph with gusts even higher. Poor little Minnie and Winnie had a tough time staying upright. ... a rookie mistake of only bringing one bottle of water each with us on our hike, that would have been fine if we were only doing the Trail of the Cedars but it was not not nearly enough water to do 5.5. miles of roundtrip hiking through moderate switchbacks. I'd recommend having a hydropack for this type of hiking. I had one but left it in the car, dumb!

The hike was worth it though, it eventually came to beautiful ...
