... in the cold, windy rain. We even encountered some hail. These buses usually fold the top back for a “convertible” experience. We weren’t able to do that because of the dramatic weather.

... the park. The views were incredible. This is my new favorite place! Got back to camp and decided to get the BBQ from the campground for dinner. We also had a fire ring! That meant a fire finally and s'mores. I didn't have a stick for my marshmallow so Rob gave me a screwdriver. We watched a movie and were asleep before it was dark. (Up north there it is bright until nearly 11pm!) Wanted to set alarm to check out the northern lights, but was too tired.

... blue we couldn't help but continually stop and comment on the clear crisp water flowing over the red and brown stones clearly visible at the bottom. The end of the trail, however, was our unanimous favorite part if the day as we came upon Virginia Falls, falling a few hundred feet off the side if the mountain and spraying icy water at us as we stood 30 feet away. ... skies were wild looking and I was reminded of one of my favorite duets- John Denver and Emmylou Harris singing "Wild Montana Skies"- a beautiful song and so appropriate! Again, we used the river's waters to wash our clothes and we hung them in the wind (very securely) and they were dry in no time. This was another sweet spot that we thoroughly enjoyed and left out the next morning feeling enriched once again.

On the road again heading for Missoula, MT. Excited ...

... the front of the boat braving the wind and rain though to get descent pictures of the mountains and glaciers. Zach liked throwing rocks into the lake before during and after the tour.

We drove about 35 miles to Two Medicine Lake and the campground there were we were booked in. It was a very rough road luckily Zach was asleep for most of it.

It was quite windy so I managed to find the cheap kite I had bought for the trip from Kathmandu. Zach was super excited to fly ...
