... service tool no 2 (a piece of wood) it looks like new. (yea Right). Dave hopefully wont follow not so close.
This petrol station said they had fuel but the petrol station attendant said we must wait, this was an African wait. All of the locals came to visit, and talk about the bikes, i had to butter the petrol attendant up and tell her how nice she was, how good everyone was, and it was like magic. The pumps turned on and me and Dave had fuel.

We soaked for about 3hours removing all the bulldust..then we went to the house and had a beer.. I have developed a new habit..Hussy you would be impressed!!
Lisa recons we should go tomorrow, her excuse is we have no food, being a fella beer and cigarettes hot spring man only need the nymphs and hammocks and it would be heaven. If no one hears from us for a couple weeks you will know where to find us, or at least me.
Okay so we are now focused on heading towards the Tanzanian border, we did not want to backtrack to Lusaka or into Malawie thus I was happy to receive a dodgy hand drawn map of a track heading north in our preferred direction. Rumour had it we could get to the border no problems.
Well to cut a fairly long story short its now four days later and we have popped out the other side. In summary the Shorty has not been out of 4WD the whole ...
Once again the road maps helped us out!!! Not..headed into Chipata and then the turn off to South Luangwa Nation Park.. at least this time there was a road however it had corrugations like I had never seen before.. I could only get the Shorty up to 50Km/hr above that the back end wanted to swap with the front.. less than 50 and my eye's could not focus.. not so bad only lasted for 110km's..
Arrived and decided to stay at a place called Track & trails ...
today was a chilled out start and cool fried egg toast and cereal. last shop in shopprite which is one of the biggest supermarkets in Africa, they seem to be everywhere we go! we had to wait for it to open but we finally went of into coking groups and got our certain meal we needed. we are cooking a pasta mixture improvisation with lots of veggies and tomatoes, its hard ...
Zambia, Northern, Zambia courters... at Chifunda Bushcamp, everyone of them came to help.
Driving through the park was not so difficult although we did get a puncture. Which meant as Neil and Paul were changing the tyre I had to keep an eye out for elephants, lions and anything else that might take a fancy to us. Although we drove through the rhino enclosure we didn't see any rhino. We also had to chop a tree that was blocking the road as it had fallen across it, yet ...
... transiting again meant we had no park fees to pay. Yet another pleasant park to drive through although we didn’t see a lot of game. What we did see is local people travelling through on their bicycles with goods to sell in baskets on the back of the bike, or a husband pedalling with the wife and child sitting sideways on the back of the bike. At Chipuka Gate we were out of the park and passed more villages with waving and smiling local ...
Chifunda Zambia, Eastern, Zambia neilandchris... The road condition deteriorated as it is being re-graded and so we were a little concerned. At a track junction we asked some children if we were on the road to Mwanya and the Milyoti Gate. Yes Yes that way takes you there, they said as they pointed out the road to take. So it did and the condition of the road got better. Only concern we had was that some of the riverbed sides are quite steep, and the beds have quite deep sand in them. Luckily Grahame and ...

The drive this afternoon is a long one, much further than the trip notes say so Kieren and Luca drive an extra 200km which means we arrive just before 6pm when the sun is setting. The majority of the group decide to upgrade to the dorm as it means there's no need to get tents up, so we ...
He Said: A five hour drive from Lilongwe (half of which was on very rough dirt roads) brought us to the village of Mfuwe, Zambia where our safari camp was located just outside the gates of South Luangwa National Park. We are sleeping in large tents but that's about where the term "camp" ends. Each tent has its own bathroom and shower, regular beds with mattresses, electric lighting, and a patio with river views. A cook prepared all our meals that we ate in a thatch roof ...
