Sunday, Oct. 5th, shoved off from St. Louis for a stressful drive to the Lake of the Ozarks. First the busy 4 laners with the tractor trailers and then the most winding roads ever and absolutely not a single amount of a shoulder anywhere! I took a spill earlier in the day getting out of the RV (I stepped down onto the ONLY large rock in the entire parking lot and did a not so graceful prat fall onto the curb), so I'm trying to take it easy because my lower back, left hand (that I caught myself with), and my foot are all hurting. At least I didn't break anything...I haven't signed up for health insurance yet! ;)
So it was a great day. I'm still not feeling 100%, my brain is still dealing with some US issues (as I may start calling them), but I am happy, patient, and knowingly hopeful (this oxymoron inspired by Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close).
