Het Abel Tasman park is echter heel bekend om zijn kayaktochten en als je in je kayakje langs die beestjes vaart springen ze er gewoon op omdat ze willen spelen. We'd been told that we had to give ourselves quite a bit of time due to rush hour traffic so we set the alarm for 5am. It was freezing at that time of the morning. We eventually left the camp site at 6.15am and we got to the ferry terminal in 15 minutes – not 45 as we had been told it could take. So we sat in line for about 90 minutes before being let onto the ferry.
