... day here, bustling with all the arab and christian shoppers, and israelis. It was also busy with so many tour buses.

We found our way up the hill to the church called the Basilica of the Annunciation. It is a Roman Catholic church, and is the largest one in the middle east. The interior of the main sanctuary is breathtaking, regardless of your faith. Amazing stained glass windows and mosaics. It enshrines a grotto and cave that many believe to be ...

... home in New York City. Tom is not a Christian and on the surface initially seemed to have no real affinity for anything religious. Yet, Tom breakfast this morning, revealed the goodness of the moral teachings of Christianity that were a necessity for a civil society. This point of contact with Tom was a bridge to share further the gospel of Jesus Christ, and opened up several other questions about doubt and Christianity. Tom is a ...

The Wall

... an impact... Ilhampdulallah (thanks be to god in Arabic) apartheid had ended. But after today, I am not so sure. I had flashbacks of the museum in South Africa after crossing the Israeli checkpoint after my visit to Bethlehem, Palestine. The whole process was destroying. I experienced "the wall" up close and intimately. The graffiti was intensely meaningful and the wall itself is an intimidatingly large cement structure. Edu, ...

Har (hill) Megiddo (city) - city on a hill - dates back to 2000BC, with 25 civilisations existing and destroyed over time up until 400BC, hence the word Armageddon! Evidence of all these levels of civilisation have been uncovered by archeologists (we picked up ...

Lazy Day

What didn't we find today! Elizabeth found a coin, Chris found a small blue square with markings on it and he uncovered a Byzantine mosaic floor, I found another piece of a wall on the northwest area of our square and that underneath the grinding stone in the central west area the rocks were in a circular pattern and the soil in the middle was loose. Grant dug into it and uncovered what seems to be a drain. He even found some fossilized excrement, but ...

Stayed here for one night in summer of 2012. Very comfortable spaceous room....however a little scary as the room was actually fit as a bomb shelter. Ein Harod is a rural village on the edge of the Jezereel valley, but pretty close to Beit Shen for whatever you need. it is adjacent to Ein harod pool which was completely dry when we visited, however we were there for the site of the Biblical Spring. People were very nice. the food was subpar to any other county lodge I've been to.
