Today, we explored the western side of the island. We are still investigating snorkeling areas. We traveled through the towns of Hanapepe, Waimea, and Kekaha. Found the Salt Pond beach and the Kekaha beach as a couple of alternatives.

During our travel today, our thoughts and concerns turned to our Chevy Sonic. When we arrived in Lihue, I had a Jeep Patriot reserved. In Maui, we noticed that the parking spaces ...

... which starts at the Pu'u Hinahina Lookout. This trail was very different from the Kalalau Trail, but still very stunning views.
What is it you need after good hike? A dip in the ocean! So we at Po'ipu. Very refreshing. Afterwards, you sort of have a salt peeling for free as there were no showers around.
I will meet Elli again on March 7th. Coincidently, we have the same flight to Tahiti!

      Waimea canyon

A travel blog entry by kellyham on Dec 10, 2014

We woke up to a very rainy morning so we decked to spent the day on the road to Waimea canyon, 2-3 hours drive from Princeville each way. We were tossed on whether it was worth it yo do the drive but since it's a ****** day, why not. It turned out to be quite a nice day. We drove all the way over and spent about an hour stopping at each of the lookout points. The Kalalau an Pule lookouts were all foggy so we couldn't see the Napoli coast, oh well! The canyon itself ...

... than all of the luaus we've been to. They had Maui steak bites which was soo delicious! This pregnancy is killing my portion size. I could not eat more than a third of my plate and I wanted second helpings of the steak. The dance performance was also very good, it wasn't as traditional as some of the other ones but it was still very good. Overall, we quite enjoyed it. We paid for the premium seating and was right up front. It wasn't cheap at $130pp but it was worth it for ...

... same 10metre radius otherwise, its going down. So me and liv ask frank for a lift to the shops where we know there's an ATM and a small hole in the wall (fast healthy food), frank agrees to take us but in no time soon, so we listen to our stomachs as we do, and take measures into our own hands (this could get funny). so with a bike in the garage and two of us, no problem. Unfortunate for me, Livvy wasn't going to be the one doing the pedalling and the shops are all up ...
