      Today had a lazy start, lounging around the apartment. Marla took pictures and completely captured the essence of the Kauai island's ubiquitous avian residents.       The fruit here is a party in your mouth and begging for more, so tasty and fresh we will forever crave this Hawaiian fruit we have been so lucky to enjoy. I could live off the avocado picked straight from the trees, juicy pineapples and papaya cut into minutes after they have been picked, the cilantro, tomatoes and everything else I have collected from the local farmers markets here.       ... kayaks, paddling up the river from the river mouth not far from where the cruise ship was docked. The wind and tide were behind us, so the paddling was fairly easy going. Our paddling timing and technique was pretty good and we were soon leading the group.
