    Turtle Beach Lodge Tortugero

In total contrast to Pete's Birthday, William's was an amazing experience!

We were up at 5am for a three hour canoe along the rivers. We had hired Alonso as our guide and he took us exploring. It was a brilliant trip and we saw so much wildlife. We just had a constant smile on our faces from start to finish!

We saw the chestnut mandibled and keel billed toucans, three types of heron, Amazonian kingfisher and lots of other birds. The ...

It is one of the most amazin and impressive natures I have ever seen. The colours, the smell everything is just impressive. It is difficult to describe but even though it was just two days it felt way more - and this is just the beginnings of my ...

... had a small ceiling fan which barely worked and a gecko infested bathroom, but it was nice. It was what we had expected considering we were in the middle of a rain forest. That night we decided to head down to the beach to catch so turtles nesting. We went along with a guide who had spotters running up and down the beach trying to find the nesting turtles without scaring them off. Once we got the signal we had to run in the darkness along a path that ran adjacent to the beach ...
