... last 2 year's. As well as a boss lady triple crowner. So I have no shortage of trail talk in my life. I truthfully love it here. The mountains are stunning the air is clean and thin and the people are great. I can't wait to hike back in the summer and take a couple days off and soak it up once again. ... open, in a deserted shopping mall, so we went in. It was just gone 8pm, so I guess we were lucky to be served: Jette was thrilled as it was a Japanese restaurant. Not a favourite of mine. Oh no.
The udon noodles were evil, like looking into a prehistoric swamp with eels cordling about.
Bah.

Walking back later there was wet in the air, which probably translates as snow on the pass, which probably translates as Houston: we DO have a problem...

After a Mac Donald's breakfast, very classy I know, we got the free shuttle bus up to The Main Lodge, hoping to get the gondola up to the mountain summit, unfortunately it was closed as they are getting ready for spring break and is only open on Saturdays and Sundays (just our luck). A visit to Griffith Observatory, overlooking the huge city of L.A. was another highlight. Larry and I then decided to try the walk down to Hollywood Boulevard which was very steep but quite an achievement for a couple of geriatrics. This morning we woke up to the Merced river and the sunlight. It was absolutely wonderful. We ate breakfast and headed over to the Mariposa Grove to see the giant sequoia trees. There was too much more to the grove accept for the massive size of the trees. After the grove we drove to the visitors center an ate lunch.
