Another incredible day out on the open road!

We left Panamint Springs behind and travelled through to Mammoth (a ski town up in the mountains). Had amazing views all morning as we rode parallel to the Sierra Nevadas (snow covered mountain ranges).

... a really nice walk.We saw a mum deer and her bambi too we got really close so cute. There was a lovely beach river near the end, the rivers here are clear water, not like our dirty rivers. Phil had a swim in his pants, but i didnt have anything to swim in so just soaked my sore feeties. I felt like the walk was never going to end. It was so worth it though.

The drive from Wawona to Yosemite Valley has a scenic viewpoint; often these don't have scenic views but this one is of the classic Ansel Adams view into Yosemite. The trip from Lone Pine to Mammoth Lakes was mercifully short (only two hours). Yet again, we didn't know what to expect - I've toured the West of California but not the East so we were blind with only the Lonely Planet to rely on.



This lodge, located on Mammoth Lakes, Mammoth Lakes, is near Devil's Postpile National Monument, Hot Creek, Hot Creek Fish Hatchery, and Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center.
