However, I don't really feel as if I have arrived unless there is heavy rain and a storm, so this hopefully was it.
Mammoth Lakes welcomed us with a big sign.
A ski area, with a nice feel, surounded by snow capped mountains. It was fresh feeling, but not cold.

After a Mac Donald's breakfast, very classy I know, we got the free shuttle bus up to The Main Lodge, hoping to get the gondola up to the mountain summit, unfortunately it was closed as they are getting ready for spring break and is only open on Saturdays and Sundays (just our luck). ... here pee me off you spend half your day waiting for the lights to go so you can cross,not like good old asia! It was so hot aswell. Phil got his hair cut in a barbers, it was like what you see in films.lol. We spent 6 days at the hostel, much longer than we wanted, while we looked for a car\van to get across america to new york.
We got the bus to santa monica beach one day which i was worried about but it was fine! Some random people on the bus, homeless people creeping ...

... any crazy stories at the moment, I guess SF is just too cool, but am sure there will be some in LA. First destination is Venice beach as my brother hooked me up with a friend of his (muchas gracias!) so am very much looking forward to that.
Give me some updates please on X Factor (you know who you are!), fantasy football (am I still winning? :) ) and the cold and wet London weather so I'll enjoy this sunshine even more! Yeah sorry, had to be cruel :)
