    Day 29

I had no idea what time breakfast or check out was today. I decided to go down for 9; breakfast was instant coffee and bread. I often eat one piece of toast with dulce de leche, which is pretty much caramel. I always wonder if the locals judge me for using it because it does not seem normal. I would like to believe they don't because they use it, or else why do all hostels offer it. It was raining and cold so I watched some episodes of bad TV until it cleared up. I headed toward the ...

Yesterday I kept forgetting to ask if I could drink the tap water, so I was very dehydrated when I woke up this am. I felt the 2.5 (delicious) beers more than I should have. My solution to this problem was to say '**** it' and I drank a litre, if I feel sick I know why. I first woke up at 6 am. First day of being a tourist along (having to read the map). Before I journey out I had breakfast which was probably the best so far. After I was done eating I called my granny because she jut got home from surgery. Nacho the guy working at the hostel gave me a map and told me the best places to check out, so off I went. My first stop was to walk out on a pier 'there's nothing special about it but you feel like you're in the middle of the ocean.' I walked along the sidewalk beside ...

... my info for identity theft (my passport number was on my ticket that I showed him). Lesson number two learn lie about your birthday. After 15-20 ish mins he realizes this isn't going anywhere or after he got all the info he needed he leaves. I get to Mar Del Plata and take an expensive tax ride to the hostel. I missed splitting these fees in two. I check in to the hostel and find out I am in my room alone. I also find out the hostel will be closing ...

    (Mis)adventures on public transport

... look up timetables and prices online etc. Except in some places I wasn't able to find the tourist office and timetables usually weren't posted online. Most of the time I had to jump on a bus going somewhere and hope for the best. (I could just get a taxi, but 1. this becomes expensive, and 2. I was working on a theory that you could tell a lot about a town from experiencing its public transport system).

So it was I accidentally got on ...
