... 15 minute bike ride away so looks like I'll have to pluck up the courage and act like an actual citizen of Amsterdam.

Overall I find myself in a constant state of confusion and bewilderment. When that is mixed in with complicated immigration paperwork, understanding Dutch norms, and navigating the city it's a wonder how I even make it back to my apartment at the end of the day.

It was a very cool experience to be in the Netherlands for the World Cup game! It was such an exciting to be able to watch the game with all of the locals and especially great that they won!

... the tour! It was pretty trippy! A Willy Nelson type character who spoke in a really slow voice walked us through the miniscule space, switching off the lights and shining the black light over all sorts of objects like rocks and minerals, paintings, stamps, bank notes and drivers licences, turning them from ordinary plain looking objects to spectacular colourful masterpieces! ... to give it a try. It’s a little swanky for our taste and we are definitely treated like tourists...we had to work pretty hard for a smile from the wait staff. After a glass of wine each and a couple tapas, we walked for over an hour in search for the perfect local eat.
