    ... we would go and look at the mechanicals on the other side of the river. Hopped on the tram, walked over the bridge and found guess what - closed on Mondays! But we had a fabulous sightseeing day - the Chateau, the cathedral, the fountains and the pavement cafés. Home on the tram for a peaceful evening, ready for visiting Sue and Tony Berridge tomorrow.

    ... up to 4 people. Hey Boris! How about making London travel so cheap and simple? Got to our pitch and put up the satellite - it whizzed round for ages. Obviously the trees were preventing it getting a signal. Moved 4 pitches down - perfect. Went back to reception and changed the details - receptionist not quite so pleasant. C'est la vie.     ... centuries when Nantes was the capital of the Dukes of Brittany. Given the souvenir shops selling all sorts of Breton goods it still seems to hold true that at least in spirit the city has links to the north west region of France that it once controlled.

    ... the 1144 was full and standing on arrival at Questembert and remained that way through to Nantes. So, it seems as though the trains are well used and if there were a few more of them could be even better patronised overall but a casual glimpse at the timetable shows all sorts of gaps in services that must make planning your day fairly hard going whether you are trying to commute to or from work or fancy a leisure trip elsewhere.

    Our first super long train ride of the trip. The ride from Paris to Nantes seemed to take more time than physically possible. Once in Nantes we had a layover before our next train ride and were able to explore a absolutely gorgeous park. You can look at the photos and let your imagination fill in the rest.
