  • I had breakfast at a local coffee shop
  • I left Tahoe at 12pm
  • I first stopped at a gas station and got gas and then I started on my way back to Sacramento

... up meeting up with them that night at Harrah's. I'm probably the only one who was so fascinated by this, but the Lake Tahoe Boulevard connects Nevada and California. ... to Heavenly unsure of the quality and quantity of snow. Most of the lifts were open and the intermediate and main trails had good snow. Gary was a bit disappointed because there wasn't a lot of off piste action and most of the advanced stuff was closed. I didn't mind as I could quite happily ski from the top to the bottom and the views were awesome. The best part was we hardly skiied the same place twice as the mountain is huge even compared with Cadrona. It was busy on ...

Vikingsholm was completed in the fall of 1929 and occupied by Mrs. Knight, her staff of 15 and many guests in June of 1930. Mrs. Knight enjoyed 15 summers at Vikingsholm. Carson City is the capital of Nevada. It was named for Kit Carson who was the scout for explorer John C. Fremont. The state assembly is currently meeting. We expected the city to be busy. But it wasn't. There was not too much traffic downtown. We had no trouble finding a parking space. It seemed very low key with no masses of picketers or reporters.
