... love your idea for a name for Matt's blog, "The Adventures of Matt and his 3 Babes"! Nice!! On the road Monday, headed to Matt's old College Days stomping grounds....Carbondale IL. Best Memories of Sunday: Matt - didn't break anything Deb - paddle boarding and enjoying the views from the lake We both loved the night sounds.... Owls, crickets, fish jumping. Super cool state ...
Oh boy did it get chilly last night....low 40's. We were too cold to get up to turn on the heater :) We had another fun day in LOTO paradise! We hiked all over HaHa Tonka park, it was a Saturday so it was fairly crowded, but it was great to see the history of the castle. Note to ourselves, from 435 out of KC, take Hwy 50 all the way to Hwy 5. Nice wide, smooth road!! We found a really nice campsite, lakeside, at LOTO State Park (site 162). The park is really beautiful, leaves are just changing, park staff super nice (especially Pearl :) ). We decided we really like the name Pearl...would like a grand- daughter to be named Pearl. If we don't have any takers, that's what we'll name our next dog! Here are some of our favorite photos from ...

I walked the Fawn's Ridge Trail that wound along the side of a wooded ridge and circled the hilltop up to a campground. Quite steep ...
