      We decided on a white Xmas for 2011 and after trawling Trip Advisor for White Xmas Holiday Inspiration, and came up with Bavaria and specifically Bayerisch Eisenstein.       ... degree. Second, this is a job where you are allowed to drink beer while working with 2,000 degree furnaces!! The expert who was demonstrating his craft to us finished a one liter bottle, during the 25 minutes we watched and opened a second. Quite a job!       ... On the subject of signs, it's very pleasing to see very few traffic or other signs around, no sign clutter!! There's a lot to like about this part of Germany, the people are helpful, friendly, courteous to cyclists and go quietly about their work. The only downside I can see is their smoking habits, everyone smokes! There are cigarette vending machines in hotels, in the streets and even the side of the road, a pack of twenty costs ...
