Another early start to a journey with an 8am bus. A lot of barron land with no trees and wild winds on our drive today. We stopped at a quarry and camped there for the night. Yet another experience I didn't think I’d have in life. Putting up our tent was a bit of a comedy because it kept blowing away like a feather. The whole night it felt like someone was shaking our tent.

While we were in Chalten we had been leafing through the guide book and happened on an entry about a small Chilean village in the foothills of the Andes 24 hours north of Chalten with world class rafting and we had decided on the spur of the moment that we fancied a bit of rafting.
