... facility for neighborhood wildlife. Capacity here is a maximum of fourteen guests.

Soon, we retire from the fire pit to the to the dining table. Diane, a South African from Joberg has driven six hours to spend the weekend here and joins us. Angie is our host and she sits with us for sparkling conversation and shots of Amarula before bed. A great day if not for the internet issue which, I fear, is going to be with us for the duration.

So far we have been very lucky to see as much as we have, we have seen leopards, lions, elephant, rhino, hyena and a lot more. Some of the interesting encounters we had are below. Something to note first is that the animals don't really seem frightened by the cars, only if you stand up do they see ...

... up a small picnic table and served us some wine and snacks. Back on the road again it was getting dark, I hadn't understood why all the other in the jeep had donned their jackets and scarfs as we got back in the jeep, I was soon to find out! FLIES! Thousands of them! (Although I later found out they were flying termites). As we picked up pace in the jeep which was open at the front and sides, these 'things' flew at us at great speed. We were covered in them! Now ...
