      ... to camp, saw the impala and a lone giraffe, which we watched for a while, too. Thought we’d read a bit, but sleep took us and we were like the lions! Maleta banged her drum for lunch around 3:00 PM…We gonna have… Get ready, Johan takes our sundowner orders, then back onto the vehicle. Still cold and misting so we don the ponchos to stay warm and dry. First order of business is to find the lions again. What do you know, they moved maybe five ...

      ... bigger than mine. Now its time for Dinner. We had Dinner at the en Fire Pit and Stefan the Ranger told about an little Surprise after Dinner. We went for a little walk and well staged where to Porcupine's eating the left overs from our Dinner. We did learned a lot about this bog Rodent from Stefan which really did his homework about the Wildlife out here. Well shall see what the Sunrise walks brings..... Karin and I got up at 5 ...

      ... br> Got to Skukuza and set up camp. It was the hottest day we have had so far and shade was something that was hard to find. Temperature 112f/43c. We went on afternoon game drive because it was cooler than some of the other options. Saw several herds of elephants mainly hanging out in the river.

      Back to camp and dinner and then to the tent. Once again, am very thankful for the powerpoint and the fan!!!

      ... moving and breathing like someone was sawing wood. Leopard! It must have been so close but none of us were game enough to stick our heads out to check. we also performed snare sweeps for various kinds of snares. I found an old giraffe snare that had already been disarmed.
      I was appointed resident medic and fortunately didnt have to open my kit once.
