The ten hour flight from Singapore was eased by the lay flat beds in Singapore Airlines Business Class and the attention of the cabin crew and the food made the trip a breeze. First impressions, well it is amazing to see so many black people occupying almost all of the jobs, a sight you do not get in Aus. ... to getting from one place to the next and Snqobi is just so little I don't know, Hopefully all will be ok. I have since spoken to Fezy and the drop off went well I just hope it all goes as smoothly when its time for Snqobi to come in a week.

This morning a was a more standard beginning to the Day going off to the Drs to get Max's stitches out followed by a trip to the beach to let the kids burn off some energy. We found some great kids pools right on the beach front which was perfect cause the weather was quite windy and great on the actual beach. ... night and where only men are allowed to enter. We also got to meet a sangoma which is an African traditional healer. He was dressed in the sangoma colours of red, black and white and had a weird nervousness about him. Some of his medicine was a brown muddy coloured liquid stored in Smirnoff vodka bottles which I found strangely funny. Surabaya- 2hr flight to Jakarta +5 hrs in airport, thence to Dubai (8 hr flight) and another 5 hrs in an airport where David is allowed into the Business Class lounge as he is a Silver frequent flyer, whilst I am not! Then another 8 hr flight to Durban where we were met by Emma and Sutz and taken home to a wonderful doggy welcome.

Beautiful sunshine and a sparkling pool provided the setting for the next few days ...
