... to those just before he died at such an early age. His posters really were what made him famous and the exhibition had many of them.

We did have a few great meals, again not too far from out hotel. A man told us there are 186 old Cafes in Vienna. When he said old he meant beautiful buildings housing some of the best coffee, teas and treats and they have been doing this for a hundred or so years. ...

... family for which the modern day country of Lichtenstein is named after. After what seemed like forever the bus finally arrived, so we hopped on for the ride up the mountain. Once we had arrived at the summit we only had 15 minutes to get out and look around before the bus took off again. ... in a beir garten for a late lunch. The
establishment seemed to serve either deepfried dishes eg schnizels or
boiled beef in a broth. We went for the broth. I had some weiner
white sausages and mustard followed by ox tongue in a broth. Rather
nice and certainly filled us up so we won't need tea.

... atmospheric of Vienna with music, and coffee houses with pastries described in such detail it leaves one drooling on the pages. Historic coffee houses are mentioned and thus we head for Demels where Max and Oskar solve numerous crimes. One thing I like about Oskar is that in contrast to the angst-ridden dysfunctional detectives of the noir period, Oskar is happily married with two daughters and enjoys his family life as well as trying to keep Vienna safe for the Emperor ...

... Baroque, Renaissance and Gothic. The Winter Riding School is Baroque.

Today, we also managed to navigate the underground transport system. Quite simple really and if you get on the wrong train, just get off at the next stop and try again. They seem to run every 4 mins, so not a long wait. This speaking from experience. :) Simple as.....
