    ... Montana. Joe went on to a distinguished career, returning to his Salish Kootenai Indian tribe to start the Salish Kootenai College. The school now enrolls 1200 students, both Indian and non-Indian people.

    ... and headed to the Hidden Lake trailhead. From my research I expected to see large wide open alpine meadows with tons of wildflowers. Instead we were greeted by about 2-3 feet of snow!!
