... the campground was closed to campers so it could be used for day hikers/cyclists. We parked the car and headed down to the two trails.

Mom and Tami's trail was called the Trail of the Cedars. It was a 0.7 mile paved loop passing waterfalls and nature fact plaques. They walked the trail at a leisurely pace and then headed back to the spot we had parked at and sat at a picnic table to wait for us. Mom updated her journal and they ...

... warmer and sunny for at least 2 days so we headed there hoping for the best. We headed all the way on US highway 2 thru the cascades and scablands of eastern Washington to Spokane. ... begonias with HUGE double heads on them! There is a dining hall restaurant here on property where they serve breakfast and dinner every day. The lots are nice and large with mowed grass around each site. Some of the more expensive sites have concrete patios but all have very neat fire pits with benches to sit on around them and also a picnic table. The views from all around the campground are first class. These mountains sure make ...

We slept in this morning. After breaking camp, we had breakfast and loaded everything back up. Before leaving camp, we took showers at the campground. The girls were not impressed by the cool water showers, but D and I thought it felt refreshing! We all felt (and smelled) much better! Today, we're heading north up to Kintla and Bowman Lakes. One the way there, we stopped at Polebridge, which is a little outpost in ...
