In the 1930s cruise ships out of Vancouver would moor at the island, which was used as a day resort with beaches, pavilion, manicured gardens etc. and the ships were used as floating hotels.     ... the last photo of the sun as it started over the horizon of Spain. It promised to be another hot day. It was kind of fun flying into Amsterdam as we had left there on July 2.
