We got to the parking lot feeling beat. I was limping and ready to lay around but our mission wasn't over. We had to find a way home. We woke up in our fantastic hotel room that Mum had booked ages ago and we decided to have breakfast in bed,our only room service so far. It was great and everyone had a good brekky.
Then we walked through the hotel and had a look at the pool. It was an inside/outside pool which was cool. We then walked down to the lake to have a look before going back to put our swimmers on for a swim in the inside/outside ...
... we hope they got out okay.
After the very long drive it was late by the time we got to Lake Tahoe and we could only just see the lake which is huge the town is busy all year as they play on the lake during summer and then ski in winter, we passed some very big houses.
We were looking forward to waking in the morning and seeing the lake.

... are beautiful and some snow is still visible from last night’s rain storms that turned into snow in the mountains … At the California/Oregon border CA Hwy 139 turns into Oregon Hwy 39 and on to Hwy 97 arriving at Miller Island Unit of Klamath Wildlife Refuge fired up and ready for our next adventure.
