Przez ostatnie dni nocowalismy w hotelach w Wellington po czym przez tydzien goscila nas Charlotte - znajoma znajomego Kirsty, ktora mieszka w Lower Hutt ze swoimi psami - Molly i Keidarem (patrz zdjecia). W sumie bardzo milo, ale brak internetu i ogrzewania zdecydowal, ze trzeba bylo szukac dalej. Przez ten tydzien znowu wydalismy troche kasy na naszego Pulsarka - ale za to mamy porzadne stereo i glosniki plus dwie nowe ...

... morning……..first lay in for ages which was good and aided the hangover. In the afternoon went to the Skylines hill to do the famous Luge rides. This was quality……you get on a go kart (without the engine) and basically go down a steep hill very fast…….went about 5 times….so much fun! Was also thinking about white water rafting but idea of freezing cold waters put me off…..will save for Australia. Again hit Lava ...

... this was something (among a few other things we had discovered) that she really wasn't very good at. Rob thought 130 was a score good enough to win but Lee managed a strike in the last go to get him up to 138, Nik got two strikes and a 9 on her last go to score 137. I got a reasonable 105 and Alex was rubbish scoring a total for the two games of 98!

All in all, a good day, fun had by all!

The neat thing about this area is the number of wineries in a small concentrated area - more than 40 wineries in an area you can easily bike around. The next morning we manage to get it together and visit the Marlborough farmers market in Blenheim. The crepes with fruit and yogurt is breakfast and take away BBQ ...

... will be evicted..." etc. etc. Apperently the base hostel in Taupo called ahead to our reception and told them how we were drunken party animals and how we got completely smashed and partied all hours of the night, hooked up in totally public places with each other, and had ridiculous amounts of fun. It was kinda hard to argue, its been a non stop binge drinking, toga wearing, cross dressing, kareokee screaming party for the last few days ...

... Picknickgebiet an. Leider ist das Wetter heute miserabel und es regnet in Stroemen, als wir dort ankommen. Trotzdem ist die Landschaft toll und mit den tiefhaengenden Wolken ein wenig gespenstisch. Wir fahren dann weiter Richtung Sueden und kommen im Staedtchen Lower Hutt an, einer Vorstadt von Wellington. Wir holen ein paar ein Infos ein und checken im Top Ten Park ein. ... to last a while...that brings us to the last meal we had in Christchurch before coming up to Wellington. We thought we had planned our food rashens pretty well, but didn't count on our cooking gas running out. So although we still had 2 packets of Pasta and pasta sauce, we couldn't cook them, so we ended up eating a tin of baked beans, and peanut butter and jam on crackers... we sure are looking forward to our meal on the flight to LA tonight!!!

But next morning we awoke to dolphins swimming in the bay below us. We tried to hire wetsuits but to no avail, so went in just in bikinis. Bloody freezing! The dolphins just swam right up to us - about 6 at one point swimming under us and jumping up right by our faces! Was absolutely brilliant ...
