... walked through lush rainforest full of vines to the gorge. The gorge itself had huge boulders in it, some up to 3m diameter. The water was crystal clear with lots of fish. If only we had time to swim around, a quick paddle was all we could manage before we were marched onwards.

After Mossman Gorge we drove for several miles through sugar cane fields that fill the plains between the rainforest mountains.

Daintree National Park gets 4m average rainfall a year. ...

Friday: A quiet day, headed into the nearest small Village Kuranda -about the population of Galiano. Called bohemian it is reminiscent of Vancouver's 4th Avenue in the 60s and 70s.
