... lake from Taupo, which is where Mount Doom is from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. First LOTR sighting!

So it's been a great week in Taupo! Time is FLYING by, I feel like I just got here! Only spending a week in each place makes every go into warp speed. Tomorrow is my last day, I don't have any big plans but I'm sure I'll be hanging out with the family and I'd like to go to the beach one more time. We'll see! The outdoor waterpark was huge with one cool pool (30*c- no thank you!) the main pool which was 36*c and a mineral hot pool at 39*c. It was much less smelly than the mineral pools at Rotorua so a much nicer ...

... and Robert decided to do the Tongariro Crossing the next day! I felt more and more jealous and useless, but I had no idea what Alma had in store for me the next day!! Richard and Robert went off bright and early and I was ready to go with Alma around 8 am. She came back for me at that time, half way through the morning milking, her 2nd herd of around 200 cows, followed by her 3rd herd of 200 cows. The efficient running of the milking parlour was so impressive! ...
