    ... amazing geological site. We spent 4 hours hiking through the volcanic area. We made it to the top of cinder cones, around lava tubes, and discovered that the lava created in this area came in many forms and colors. It is such a barren, desolate area and yet there were thousands of wildflowers in bloom. From what we read June is the best time to see wildflowers.     ... They also had a lodge there where they had a store at one time for the people on dog sleds to stop they had pictures it was really cool to see a Coke sign above the door and a dog sled out front.

    ... care of their two young eaglets. The were across the river atop a huge dried up tree. Apparently the eagles come back every year to nest atop this tree. So Cool! Went to Ashton to pick up groceries and headed back for the return 30 mile drive. On our way back, we notice a moose in the river on HWY 20. We stop and try to take pictures.     OK I know y'all are tired of hearing how hard the wind was blowing, believe me I'm tired of the wind and how hard it blows in Idaho!
