Well you will have to look on the map to see where we have ended up today. We changed our travel plans after talking to one of the Marriott people and headed towards Aspen Colorado. We didn't really envisage how long it was going to take us and by 6.30pm we thought we better change our plans and get accommodation anywhere we could - hence Glenwood Springs. This morning, we started in Park City, visiting with mom's friend Lucy. She took us to the Utah Olympic Park (the Olympics were held here in 2002), and we saw some skiers practicing jumps and flips into pools and on slick grass. I still don't know how people do those sort of things, but I'm sure not being afraid of heights helps. Early this morning we contacted AAA and a flat bed tow truck showed up to move our trailer. Fortunately the driver knew a good RV repair facility only about 15 miles down I-70 in the town of "Rifle" Colorado. By 1 PM they had the problem diagnosed. We found out we will need a new axel. Today we drove west through the Rocky Mountains. Much of the Rockies are as high as the Sierras and there are like thirty of the peaks higher than 14,000 feet.
