Well you will have to look on the map to see where we have ended up today. We changed our travel plans after talking to one of the Marriott people and headed towards Aspen Colorado. We didn't really envisage how long it was going to take us and by 6.30pm we thought we better change our plans and get accommodation anywhere we could - hence Glenwood Springs. To be fair we didn't leave Salt Lake City until midday as we wanted to have a look at the fountain display ...

This morning, we started in Park City, visiting with mom's friend Lucy. She took us to the Utah Olympic Park (the Olympics were held here in 2002), and we saw some skiers practicing jumps and flips into pools and on slick grass. I still don't know how people do those sort of things, but I'm sure not being afraid of heights helps. Whtile the boys were out exploring on Wednesday, in Brule, they scared up some wild turkeys. Rogan got some great pictures but I haven't had time to figure out how to get them on my computer. Also saw a quail on our way out. So, some wildlife.

While driving toward Denver the boys asked if there are any military museums in Colorado. I told them to check their computers. And, they found Wings Over the Rockies, an Air and Space Museum. ...

We stopped in Meeker at the suggestion of our friends Susan and Lloyd. The town is is named for Nathan Meeker, a Native American agent who was killed along with 11 other U.S. citizens by Ute Indians in the 1879 Meeker Massacre. Teddy Roosevelt visited while on a mountain lion hunting trip. Wide streets, lots of pickup trucks and few people. ...
