... hope that this will serve as a record of our travels and will also help to keep us in touch with friends and family.
I should be uploading photographs to accompany this but at this stage I am unwilling to share the shambles that we are surrounded by! Piles of clothes and shoes - many of which I know that I will have to discard!
Our plans are almost ...
... pleased with herself when we caught up with her later in the day! She managed to find some boots that fitted rather well.... Would this be the end of the shopping now?? I don't think so somehow!!
The night was pretty good. We again headed to a pub for a cheap meal deal and then off to a comedy club. Quite amusing really. They put on a few different sketches instead of your normal stand up people. Mark was super happy as there was a rather attractive ginger ...
... I doubt I'll get much more done tonight.
I have had to be beyond minimal with the packing - to the point of debating over whether I really do need a fifth vest top ( I don't) or two pairs of jeans (I do) . And as many of you know, my travelling shoe collection consists of flip flops, (fake) ugg boots and a pair of really ugly trainers.
But, thanks to Katy, I do have at least one high ...
... in love with the Scottish Highlands and Skye. If anyone is thinking of visiting Scotland, we highly recommend it. The scenery was breathtaking.
We still love France but Scotland was a nice contrast. We also enjoyed a week of speaking english with everyone!!! Enjoy the pictures. Once again, I don't believe the pictures come close to capturing the true beauty.
We started the day off with a hot breakfast and then moved our bags to our new hostel. Jess and I started the day with a free walking tour of the city. We met the tour at Starbucks on the Royal Mile. It was a great tour, again it was a case of too much information for me to remember!
Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom jcastellan... many pockets (Scott Vest, Women's Essential Jacket, 18 pockets), I think I looked homeless. I had two newspapers sticking out of an internal pocket, and probably looked like I had slept in my clothes (which I had). Good for me. I could explore uninterrupted. I took a tour - one of those vault tours. I though it would be interesting, I've seen underground rooms ...
Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom mctubbs...
Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom cagonu... 12....and so on. Once you know the time is near to be home again, it's hard to be as carefree. I think I am looking forward to being home as well, just because I know it's coming so soon. Gotta run now though. I've decided to go out on a pub crawl for my last night at the hostel. Why not hey? Last night in Edinburgh, one last hurrah!! This trip has been amazing and I am going to miss it, so one last cheers from Edinburgh and Europe!
Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom steph_444... so far out from the date (Saturday 3 October 2009 in Coffs Harbour - those of you that don't have it in your diary, don't forget to add it as the most important date for 2009!), I am hoping that I won't turn into a "bridezilla" from stress! I have been trying to keep up on the news from (after all, I spend about 8hours a day surfing the net!)...it's great to see that it's been raining - its just took for us to leave the country for the drought to break! and, I just can't help ...
Edinburgh, United Kingdom kim.donaldson... job offer in London I had to pursue, they ate it up like candy and I was a free woman. I actually really, really hate lying. But, figured this was my only way to get the job, so I sucked it up and if for some reason I recieve some type of bad Karma, well, I guess I deserve it. But in the end it was just a bar job, which are a dime a dozen in the boozy town of Edinburgh. After many nights of great food care of Rob and Sara, whom are fantastic cooks I ...
