        Something we thought funny: The CBS TV station here is called News 9 & 10. So when they advertise or announce the nightly 11:00 news it’s News 9 & 10 at 11! The first time we heard this we laughed but we learned that there are two stations (9 & 10) owned by the same company that cover the Lake Michigan area from mid state down and mid state up.         ... for tomorrow's departure. We're headed out tomorrow for Escanaba, Michigan.  We'll be spending one night at OB Fuller State Park, then head on into WIsconsin and Minnesota.  It's going to be a hard four days of driving between here and the Black Hills of South Dakota.  We're not looking forward to the drive, but we know that next weekend will see us at Dad and Susan's, who we haven't seen in far too long. Tomorrow's going to be a busy day, so It's off to bed for me! 'Night, ...

        ... long, and the barge they were launched from was located much closer to the spectators lining Round Lake. It was a great show, and by 10:45 PM the crowd was clapping and the boats in the marina were sounding their horns in approval. Another Venetian festival (the 85th this year) was over, and the crowds slowly dispersed. The larger crowd meant that we had to wait a little longer before making the trek up the hill to where we had parked, but by 11:45 ...

        By ten o'clock, the band was winding down, and the skies were beginning to darken. I bought Jenna some glow necklaces to play with, and she spent an hour twirling around blanket with her new acquisitions. By ten fifteen, the skies were completely dark, and the fireworks commenced. And what a show it was! The display lasted for a full 25 minutes, and was accompanied by music. ...
