Today we hiked back into the nature reserve that Eclypse de Mar owns and also went beyond it until it got too thick and muddy. We were looking for the sloths, iguanas and caimen that live in the area but no luck. We did see a few poison-arrow frogs, some horses and a dual-colored lizard. Bastimentos- kayaking and swimming
Lots of sun today and we spent the entire day near the hotel doing water activities. We swam from our deck and then floated on the air mattresses. After lunch at the hotel we took out the double kayak with the clear bottom and paddled around the bay, to Old Bank and back. This morning we had breakfast in our bungalow, the weather is nice. All of us are going out on another tour, this time to Cayos Zapatillas and to Coral Cay for lunch. The water taxi to Bastimentos takes about 10 minutes and costs $3 per person. We arrived at Eclypse de Mar and were greeted by Malena the owner and the sounds of construction at the hotel.
