          Thursday morning, the Clarion hotel in Iowa City, and it's cold - 40 oF. Well wrapped up, we set off for Omaha, Nebraska, riding route 6 once again. We rode through downland terrain, under a pleated cotton wool-like canopy of grey and white stratocumulus clouds that kept the temperature below 50 oF. It was easy riding, though hot chocolate or coffee were the order of the day when we took our breaks.

          ... to retrieve our luggage from Houston, but we were told the luggage had already been sent out. Come to find out, this was a lie. Our luggage was still in Houston, according to the baggage tracker. After making a late night WalMart run for everything we needed to get by, we stayed overnight in Sugar Land.
