Tuesday, July 26. Arrived in Perth around midday and drove straight to Murthly to visit Innes' uncle Carson. Chatted for several hours and then had a lovely dinner at the Dalmore Inn (off the A93 towards Blairgowrie). Checked in rather late at the Travelodge but Maisie was clearly delighted to see that it was identical to the last Travelodge we stayed at. Cheers Everyone:

We had a busy today as we had our High Street Performance following MY NAME IS RICHARD and listening to "DIck, Dick, DIck" one more time. They actually are good but it is to the point where the girls know there moves and lyrics to the songs. We performed and I thought it was ok, I think we are all badly in need of tomorrow and a day away from Gibby before we go into our final week.

... the Royal Mile where thousands lived centuries ago until they sealed it off during one of the plagues with the people still inside.

Following the tour we joined some of the group at a local pub for lunch of haggis. Enjoyed it as most people do, though it's quite rich and you don't need a large helping. It was about 4pm by that time, so we took a bus back to the hotel to dry off and warm up, then eventually out to a pub for tea.

Barbara’s house backs onto a meadow with a view into the distance and I was pleasantly surprised to see the famous White Horse on the hillside on the horizon. Apparently, it was the work of a teacher and local farmer in 1850 or thereabouts.
