... visiting before the MacDonald's headed home to a Saturday work project. The rain storm last night, which had little effect on our location, created major destruction in the nearby towns of Malvern and Sheridan, AR. We witnessed miles of downed trees and wires making us realize how lucky we were.
No room in the campground for us to stay longer, so we headed south winding up in Jackson, MS for the night.
We arrived here on Tuesday - planning to stay only 2 nights, but when we woke up this morning to pouring rain and read some of the details about the park we were planning to go to (Millwood Landing RPI Membership Park in Ashdown, AR), we decided to just add another $12/day to the automated check-in machine here at Gulpha Gorge and stay until Monday.

This drive and it was close to 70 miles long was like a roller coaster – up, down,curves and switchbacks. My stomach was not doing very well when we drove into our campground in Hot Springs.
