... northern shore of the Albany River, 10 km upstream from James Bay. It is, unfortunately, probably best known for the water crisis that occurred several years ago. There is a dyke, made from a mixture of clay and gravel, that surrounds the community. It reaches 10 feet high and it is about 5.3 km in length. Flooding does still occur though, but not as bad as it once was.

... started to sky rocket. there's nothing worse than going on a weekend trip and having to get the warden to kick the previous tennants out. at 2:30, a half hour after we were supposed to be setting up our tent for the weekend, the russians were still there. i rolled down my window and motioned toward my watch as the woman turned to look at me. i promised myself that if they weren't gone in ten minutes, i would set fire to their tent. ok. so, i over-reacted. ...
