    ... squeaking in under 23kg each.

    The Paraparaumu-Auckland flight is always lovely, and today was no exception -- the plane was almost empty, being the Sunday of a long weekend, so boarding and disembarking felt super-cruisy. The joys of the smaller Q300 plane is that we're guaranteed a window seat and an aisle seat between the two of us, so we got some absolutely stunning views as we flew up the North Island.

    ... path. Well, that was what we were going to do; we were just going to do it on our own without the glam and bus. Long story short, it seemed convincing. They knew where to go, so the beaten path wasn't random stops or dead ends, but purposeful movement to places off the beaten path available sometimes only to people on the Stray bus.     We left London late Thursday night, after being chaffuer driven to Gatwick airport, had a relaxing couple of hours in the first class lounge - an amazing way to go. Gotta be on everyones bucket list - to travel first class once in ones life time.

    ... be on an extended trip like that again, where I'm frugal with money and reckless with alcohol. That trip was a way to say goodbye to living young. I did it in style, and now it's time to be an adult. I'm looking forward to it.

    That's it. No more blog entries. I'll go back to do a bit of editing and upload a few more photos here and there, but from me this is goodbye. I hope you've enjoyed reading it.

    Along the way, we crossed the date line, making me a bonafide time traveller. I left on the eve of the summer solstice, and arrived the day after the winter solstice. COOL!!
