We walked all the way down to the pier where we met the free shuttle to the base of the Auckland Harbor Bridge. There were only two other people in the van with us. They were a couple from Sweden that were taking the whole year to travel. We started chatting with them, and I found their travels extremely ...

... Polynesian city in the world. We really enjoyed our tour of Auckland. After the tour we walked around a little and then went back to the ship. When we got to the ship there was a line to get back on because the computers had crashed and they were checking everyone in by hand. We commented that there would be a mess trying to make sure of where all the passengers were. Well, we got a phone call at 11:30 pm verifying we were back on board! ...

... was actually for its world-renowned diving at Poor Knights Islands. As per local legend, Jacques Cousteau named the area as being in the top 10 in the world and it was highly recommended by a diving friend so we had to check it out. We got lucky and had a beautiful sunny day which made the frigid (by Caroline standards... balmy by Jeremy standards) water much more bearable. The island waters were teeming with fish and had a ton of beautiful ...
