We checked into our room – nice and warm - put our “cold” items in the fridge, and then walked across the road to the City Bowling Club for dinner.

... there was a delay because someone didn’t turn up so their bags had to come off! That took about 10 minutes before we could take off. However we weren’t too far behind schedule landing at Sydney at 2.38pm. Border Control wanted to have a word as we ticked stuff on our arrival card (pills and muesli bars) but soon waved us through. Note to self – don’t wear boots with buckles on ……it sets off the scanner!

after almost 5 months we were already on the way home and we couldn't believe how fast this trip was coming to an end. we have seen so many things that the time passed so fast and we were in the last stop in Sydney where we planned a 'recovery stop' before the 24 hour flight back to Europe.
